New College Nottingham has been one of only seventeen further education colleges in the UK to take part in the Carnegie Trust research project into the attitudes of young people to enterprise, education and the future in a changing economy.

The project, Enterprising Minds, involved training interns to conduct peer-to-peer research and has achieved some interesting and original findings that will be launched in a report at a Commons reception on Monday 25th June.

Graham Allen, MP for Nottingham North, said, “It’s fantastic that New College Nottingham has been involved in this important research.  I’m looking forward to seeing the findings of the research and learning more about young people’s attitudes to enterprise, education and the future in this time of economic hardship.  Youth unemployment is a massive problem at the moment and I will be interested to see how young people feel about their futures in light of this.”
